Got my new little Seiko 5 (ref snk803) in last night. Perfect everyday wear watch. Tough to be $70 for a venerable Japanese auto movement, with bonus display back!

I’ve got that Seiko 5 in green, it’s a great watch.

But today I have a different Seiko on. I usually have it on a Gulf blue/orange strap, but I’m wearing black with a bit of orange (company color) today, so I swapped the strap.

Nice 5! This is my favorite colorway. Definitely the best value automatic you can get, and with a display back too! I kinda want one to mess with and put a lightening bolt second hand on, but am an “occasions only” watch nerd to keep things from getting out of hand.

wow! congrats! I lust for the Visodate, but my little Timex marlin takes all my dress watch time. Once I can justify more watches though, I will definitely be picking one up. I love the vintage Tissot logo

Thank you!! Dress watches are my favorite so I do not treat them as such. They all just get put on fun bands and become dailies. Grayscale vintage inspired stuff is just my jam. I do want an oddball valjoux chrono from the seventies soon though. But I’m gunning for the incredibly pricey casio WR next, so that will be a fun change of pace. I can’t decide on a strap though. I would take the bracelet off, can’t stand them:

A few natos would be the most fun I think.

I quite like the SSC019 I picked up last year. Solar, chrono, date, unidirectional bezel. The lume is ridiculous on it, too.

Yeah I know :/. I know nothing of the Russian watch and it has never ran since it was given to me, so if I get that running it’ll be a bonus. Super unique watch. I need to find out more about it
